My kingsnake just shed about an hour ago. Is it okay to handle her right after shedding? Will she be sore? I obviously have no idea what I'm doing so please help. Thanks.

Once the old skin is off, the new skin is all ready to go. I wouldn't pick it up RIGHT after shedding because it might be in a bad mood, but after an hour it should be ok.

"The serpent crams itself with animal life that is often warm and vibrant, to prolong an existence in which we detect no joy and no emotion. It reveals the depth to which evolution can sink when it takes the downward path and strips animals to the irreducible minimum able to perpetuate a predatory life in its naked horror."
