Who says they arent social creatures. When he first approaches she hisses very loud then he acts submissive on final approach afterwards she checks him over good, then they are great together. I still wouldnt trust her alone in her cage with him though.

Wow, awesome monitors! I'm new and a little curious..umm..where do you keep them? Because the picture looks like they're in your house, free roaming?

"T" is his male argus who lives in a converted closet that pretty big. Hes 16lbs 7 ounces and should be over 5ft long (missing a foot or more of his tail).
Sobek is the Blackthroat whitethroat cross she was visiting when I went over there that day, she is over 6 feet long and 24-25lbs, she lives in a 4x4x8ft cage (definite need of larger cage) with a foot and a half of dirt in it. She has 165f basking spot that heats her entire STV length, is 2 levels plywood, with an underground chamber and a tunnel entrance with large sections of cork bark hides and a water dish dug into the dirt big enough to drink from.

Sounds like a palace compare to what my water monitor has, I got to admit I'm jealous. Only problem is in my condition I have no room inside the house, bummer huh? I believe I can make room but it would require major furnature moving and cramp future conditions lol.

Cool pic once again Shvar, have a nice day.
