Let's try this once again....

StinaUIUC Jan 25, 2004 10:45 PM

Ok...there's pics in here once again...but this time I used photobucket...so hopefully these'll work a little better! Also they're a bit smaller. Anyway...one question is about her underside.
here's the pic:

I just want to know if she looks normal...The white looks to me like she's just gonna have to go to the bathroom soon...but I want to be sure it's normal...

My other question is about a wierd spot on her right side that's on her abdomen about where her "knee" sits when she's resting. You can sorta see it in the shot of her right side, and can see that there is no dark coloration on her left side in the other shot. Anyway...let me know what y'all think about that. Basically these pics are just to show how she looks now vs. when I first got her a week or 2 ago! She eat's great and is quite active...she even tried to bite me a few times today when I was taking her pics! Oh...btw...the 3 pics I'm using are the only ones out of 24 that came out the way I wanted them to...lol darn geckos are so hard to photograph!

Here's the pics! Other than the white spot on her tummy and the dark area on her side she's doing great!

She's adorable The dark spot on her underbelly is probably like you said, just means she's gonna poop soon. I couldnt really see anything abnormal on her abdomen/side from the pic. She looks normal to me. I may have missed the spot if it is really small. She could have got bitten by a cagemate at the store but that is just a suggestion, she looks fine and looks like her tail is getting bigger

the "spot" on her side is really just an area that's a little darker than the rest of her...I never noticed it before, so it concerned me...I'll try to mark it someway in a pic...

The darker spot on her side is nothing to worry about, Albinos are somewhat see through since they have no black pigment that dark spot you see is food sitting in her little tummy when she poops it may disappear or become smaller, smaller because it could also be its liver my 2 albinos get it all the time after they eat, as for that white spot my juvie albino had it once but it soon went away, no worries

thanks! I've been trying hard with my girls! I can't wait to get my male tang rainwater albino from Garrick...but it's too cold to ship now! I'm amazed that Spitfire's tail is starting to plump up so quickly! I do need to get some undertank heaters or smt though...Spitfire's temps I know are a little low...but she's at least eating very well. I guess some of them just care more or less about those things...lol It's Blinkers I'm somewhat worried about...hopefully it's just that she's not acclimated and not that the temps are too low or she's sick. She hasn't been defacating much...but when she does the stool is normal. I think I'll try crickets in a day or two here...although all the rest of my girls seem to be doing well with the mealies.

That's a pic of the dark area on her side...when I first took her out I didn't really see it at all...but then after she started moving a bit I saw it again. Is it normal or bad or what?

This pic I took while I had her out for the dark area one.

Anyway...other than the dark area....which is hopefully nothing...she's doing great! Eats her mealies like a good little girl (assuming she is a girl...), and her tail definitely looks fatter already! I don't think Blinkers has eaten yet...which is kind of worrying me...but I haven't had her too long, so I'm not freaking just yet. Also, she's got that nice fat tail, so she's got smt to live on for now...I may have to try crickets for her.
