Need help with frilled breeding behavior.

poisonfrog420 Jan 25, 2004 10:58 PM

I was walking by one of my frilled cages today and I saw my male run up the branch to the female, start flicking the tip of his tail, opened his frill half way and started to bob his head quickly. While he as bobbing his head he waved his right arm once. Is this a good sign that they are getting ready to breed? For the past week I have been misting them more often and misting the cage more. Thanks, Jake.

Mine haven't bred yet (females need to grow a bit more), but if he's displaying breeding behavior like that while you're in the room, you should get your nest box ready as they're probably breeding when you're not around.
