I think it's time...

Joe Jan 25, 2004 11:07 PM

Well, now that I have work, school, fraternity, and am building a '55 chevy truck so that I can have a car to drive I am losing the time I used to have to take real good care of my dragons. They aren't getting the attention that they used to and I feel like they could be better taken care of by someone else. I think I am going to downsize from having 7 dragons to only keeping 2. I have a male and a female armata, and the female has produced one clutch (that I didn't catch in time to save them). I also have a male capra that broke his leg but is starting to use it a little more now who is in good health otherwise (tripod). And I have 2 female capra's that have both produced a clutch each for me so far but one was infertile and the other I still have 4 eggs left. I will be keeping Link and Lucky, my 2 oldest CB's since I promised to take good care of Lucky, and I have had Link for about a year and a half now and I just can't let him go.

Anyways, I am posting to see if anyone would like to provide a beter home to one or more of these dragons. If so send me an email at joebradbury@comcast.net

Also Marcia, this is a good chance to get ahold of another species of acanthosaura!!

Hi Joe,

I'd be happy to help out with your dragons. I was planning on adding at least 1 more female capra to my current group of 1.2.

In the event that you have any difficulty placing either of the females, I would be interested in one, or both of them.

As for the Armata's, I'm guessing that Marcia will take you up on your offer. If not, I have a 3'x2'x2' enclosure that is currently unused and should be able to house the pair.

I have only been keeping Acanthosaura since September of 03, however I have nearly 30 years experience with herp-keeping, and over a decade of keeping Physignathus Cocincinus. If you have any questions for me, please don't hesitate to ask.

Given the season, you may want to consider me as a last resort. I'm in New England, and the temps here have been ridiculous. I just wanted to drop you a note and let you know I'd be happy to give some of your dragons a home should it become necessary, or if you have difficulty finding any other other keepers closer to you. Hopefully, you will find others willing to help, that will allow you to avoid shipping animals in sub-zero temps.

Hope all goes well with your endeavors, and that you continue to visit the board.

Regards,

Don Mulrenan

My apologies Joe, the message above was supposed to be sent to you as email from Kingsnake. If I could remove it from the board, I would ... but nooooo ... KS doesn't let you edit posts.

Don't worry about it. If you could though, just copy and paste what you wrote and send it to me in an email again to joebradbury@comcast.net so I have it just incase I have any problems finding good homes for these guys. Glad to hear you have experience with them and other herps too, it kinda takes away some of the worry when I let them go.
