I'm just wondering, I think its because of the price, because its commonly sold, because its colorful for something so cheap, or because of what?

I feel that the three reasons you've suggested is hitting the nail on the head. Also, they're pretty low maintenance and don't grow very large. Just my opinion though.

You can format your posts and signature using BBCode. Here are some common examples:
