can cresteds be housed w/ treefrogs?

anichcha Jan 26, 2004 07:30 AM

quick question -- any feedback appreciated:

i have a 40 gallon vertical tank in which i currently keep four treefrogs. my friend has offered me his crested gecko, and i am thinking about housing it with the treefrogs (they are all bigger than the crested's head).

will the crested go after my froggies?

thanks for your help

If he tries it even once and gets a mouthful of frog slime it could make him pretty sick. And if he's anything like my crested, he'll bite anything that moves. It also could make him sick if the frogs sit in the water dish.

"The serpent crams itself with animal life that is often warm and vibrant, to prolong an existence in which we detect no joy and no emotion. It reveals the depth to which evolution can sink when it takes the downward path and strips animals to the irreducible minimum able to perpetuate a predatory life in its naked horror."
