don't remember who suggested apple juice...

mismodliz Jan 26, 2004 09:18 AM

for soaking pellets, but thanks for the great tip! I have problems getting my beardie to eat his pellets. He'll get in a mood and eat a good portion and then ignore them forever.

Tried apple juice on Saturday and he went right for them. He seemed disappointed when the little pool of extra juice was gone!

BTW - I did use 100% juice - not the "juice-added" drinks.

I use orange juice, cranberry and other natural juices too.

I also use apple juice (diluted, all natural) when I'm trying to get a dehydrated beardie to drink water or Pedialyte. They don't really care for the taste of Pedialyte and won't always drink water, but adding a little apple juice sure changes their mind!

Below is a photo of Ojay brumating... he got a little dehydrated so I gave him some diluted applejuice and Pedialyte. He loved it!
