Costa Rican Locality ?'s

geasmith Jan 26, 2004 10:06 AM

I was just wondering if anybody can give me some info on Bci's from Costa Rica. Relative size, general personality, and if there's anything unique about them. Also, are there are any breeders dealing with this locality?

Thanks,
Geary

I bought a pair from Ben Siegel Reptiles earlier this season. I've truly loved them . They are docile, pretty and good eaters.
The picture isn't the best but its my female. Here is a link to Hermann Stoekel's page. It has a Costa Rican section under the BCI tab.

The male wouldn't hold still out of the cage at all but here is a current shot in his cage. Sorry about the reflection. The picture doesn't do huim justice. He's a little darker than her but he's got a cool striped head.
Now they have thrown down the gauntlet. I've got to get good pictures!

Thanks for the info. I'm currently working on getting a pair from Arco Iris Herpetoculture. I'll post pics when the get in, but I'll have to wait until the weather in Chicago decides to get above 20 degrees.
