I'm worried about Rex

kyle_rex Jan 26, 2004 11:33 AM

my bearded dragon is about 5 months old, he's about 12.5"-13" long. I think he's small for his age but i could be wrong. whats the average size of a 5 month old bearded dragon? when do they stop growing? I try to purposly agravate him sometimes (not b/c i'm an ass), to see if his neck will puff out but it never does, even when my cat jumped into his cage when i was feeding him he didn't puff out. Is their something wrong? please help

I wouldn't worry about his size to much as long as he is good and plump. They will grow untill they are about a year old and they can hit a growth spurt and really surprise you.

You probably just have a mellow Beardie. If you are the type of person who worries, get a fecal done by a qualified reptile vet. They aren't that expensive and should be done regularly (once or twice a year) anyway.
