Help w/ finiky dragons

herpin1579 Jan 26, 2004 11:35 AM

Hello everyone,

I aquired a pair of beardies about a month ago. They are housed seperatly and both have proper basking lights along with another UVB bulb. I bought juvi dry bearded food and have tried repeatedly to get them to eat the stuff. I feed them a mixture of greens each day w/ the proper supplements, no crickets. Both eat the greens each day. I have mixed the pellets with the greens but they just seem to eat around them. Yes the pellets are soaked. I also tried soaking them in apple juice, I had a little better response but still nothing. Please help.

Thanks,
Mike

Get them protein. Feed crickets or silkworms (mulberryfarms.com) or something, some will never give into pellets.

mine all love them even adults (guess I'm lucky). I use Rep-cal. many of my Beardies wil not eat the brown colored ones though. You may want to try putting them on a spoon. put a paper plate in the cages and then drop them a few at a time onto the plate so they have movement (bounce and roll). If you use the adult formula (less protein) you could try hand feeding too.
