veiled needs help

anichcha Jan 26, 2004 11:55 AM

hi --

i just rescued a very sick veiled, but i'm not sure what's wrong with him. i know he was dehydrated b/c his eyes were sunken, and i have given him a warm shower (he looks a bit better). he is very weak and lays on his side most of the time. what, if anything, can be done to help him?

This cham will be dead wihin a day or two. The only (slim) chance he has is if you get him to cham-experienced vet immediately. Asking people on the web to diagnose and suggest treatment for a cham who is this sick, is sheer folly.

Do you know anything else about how he was treated before? I would make sure you keep him VERY well hydrated, and keep the temps in his cage a few degree's warmer than normal. Most definatly get him to the vet soon. bring a fecal.

I rescued an ambanja a month ago, he was mal nourished, and dehydrated.. he died... it was sad.. first dead cam I've ever had.
