Hi all, just a Poll for us lot. What do u like to feed and why do u like to feed it? I feed my 2 leo's crix every night. I do this because they r more active which gives my leo's something to hunt down and also i find them easier to keep altho i have never tried mealworms. I just don't like the look of them. How easy r they to keep and r they relatively better than crix??? Thx all Have fun Gilbery007

locusts/ hoppers because of their large gut, i think this gives better nutritional value, and their a lot slower than crickets!

How old is ur leo? Mine is only about 9 months old my male and my female is about 3 months i think. Wouldn't locusts be a bit big? My male is 7 inches how much more will he grow? Will he reach 10 inches or is it 8? Thx Gilbery007

I'd say your maleis full grown they are pretty much done growing at 8 months I think that what I heard

Search through the forum archives. This poll has come up a lot and every time the answer is 50% feed mealies, 50% feed crix. Although there are a few who feed silkies, or something else.

Usually this question starts a big debate (just like the great substrate debate).

0.0.1 High Yellow Juvenile Leo (Echo)

I use mainly mealworms, they are easy to keep, clean (unlikely to carry disease), quiet, don't take much space, don't escape all over the house, last a long time.

I also have a big tub of superworms.
