I know you were seaching for info on the diets and you may have read this already...but here is a good link to the ingredients and detailed info as to what each one is included for. Keep in mind that this list was written by Allen(SDR) so the we really refers to him, as he is the one who developed the formulations for the diets...t-rex came on after the fact as a means to distribute and market the diets. What I'm getting at is that they are not really a t-rex product...I know some people have issues with big reptile companies. If you have more questions about the diets, feel free to email me...
good luck,

Link, click on ingredients

one of the testimonials for the Dragon ICB states that he gives his beardeds a wide variety of food including vegetables(peas, leaf lettuce, ect) strawberries, crickets , meal worms and moistened dry cat food.! Is it just me or does anyone else see this as VERY wrong?

I would imagine there could be problems feeding cat food to your BD. It would depend on how often and how much...although with all the retile specific products on the market today, why would you even bother. Cat food probaby has much, much higher levels of certain minerals and vitamins than you would want your BD to have.

LOVE THE QUOTE BILL. MJK RULES!!!!!!!!!

I agree with Bill about cat food being a problem. I hope that by that testimonial nobody thinks we feed our dragons cat food. That was written by a customer and posted by T-Rex. Sandfire had nothing to do with that one.

Does the SDR still use the Trex supps. on their dragons? Do they use it for all of their dragons? Do they completely replace all veggies with it?

Thanks Paul.

Well, it does not replace the veggies really, it just makes planning what your going to add to the salad unecessary. The powder in itself is a complete food, not unlike the pellets(much better in fact), but I don't know many dragons that will eat a pile of powder...hence the need for a veggie to act as a means of delivery. I usually just use a green like mustard, collard, or dandilion.

Will you please either just tell me it's none of my business or that I should assume SF is using the supps instead of spewing out the BS?

I'm planning on using it but was just doing a little research.

I really didn't expect the runaround and then the comment from Paul, especially on a public forum. Maybe Bob Mailloux will give me a better answer.

What comment was that rob?...did it get erased? I don't know the answer. I can tell you that Allen raises his colony of Rhacs on it exclusively. It's really just straight up , sound nutrition, very well researched and formulated.

Well you guess I didn't understand why Paul had commented on your post while completely disregarding my question about SDR still using the supps.

What exactly was Paul referring to when he said "Nice Bill...Are you getting paid for this?".

I know Paul personally, and I think he was making a joke. As you know I mention the products on this forum alot. Paul was suggesting in a joking manner that Allen might be giving me monetary incentive to do so...get it?
Anyway, No one is twisting your arm to try the products...I gave you a link to the ingredients list which goes into more detail than any supplement(that I know of) as to what the ingedients are and why they were chosen. There is nothing "mystical" about it, it's not snake oil. It's sound nutrition...pure and simple...sooo simple it hurts.
good luck

I see it differently than that, Bill. I am not questioning the integrity of the product anymore nor do I think anyone is twisting my arm to try it.

The things you stated about the product were facts and not opinions or attempts at persuasion whatsoever so I can see no reason, in that regard, for Paul to make the comment he did. I think he was commenting on your tactful avoidance, wether intentional or not, to my probing. Why else would he not have answered my question himself? He must have read it.

Look, I don't know Paul and have nothing against him and if you think he is a good guy and was only making a joke then so be it. I'm not trying to make trouble and frankly would rather forget the whole issue. I just want to make it clear I don't appreciate what I believe happened when all I did was ask a reasonable question about this new supplement I have never heard of before.

Rob,
I apologize if my last post came off as negative...I did not intend it that way. Trust me, Paul meant the comment as a joke about my constant "endorsment" of the products on this forum. I do mention them whenever the chance arises. I use the products exclusively on all my herps, and will talk about them when ever the subject of supplements come up. I use the Uromastyx formula, all 3 BD, and 3 Rhacodactylus formulas. By the way, I use the BD insect dust for my leopard geckos and Vield Chams...it is the same formulation, just different for marketing reasons...so, If a store is out if the BD ICB, you can pick up the chameleom dust or the leopard gecko dust.
good luck
