I got very lucky last night with my first escape. This was not genious on the part of my snake, but stupidity on my part. The side of my lid was propped open some and my little 7 month old squeezed out. I was asleep at the time, so he could have been long gone by the time I woke up. But, he is not the most agile and ended up on top of my dresser knocking a lot of stuff down and waking me up. I got up and put him back in his cage and rectified the problem, then I watched him for about a half an hour to be sure he wouldnt' get out. With the way my room is chances are I could have stepped on him or lost him for weeks. I will take this as a strong, scary warning and be much much more cautious for now on. I'm just really glad that he woke me up.
