Could This Mean........! 8 )

Tonight I fed my sub-adult male green ig on my lap for like the first time and once he was finished with three leaves of Kale, he slowly went back into his cage and calmly climbed up to his top log. He took a deep melow breath and settled it with a slow headbod. Could this mean he appreciates beeing fed or that he's settling into me now? Because usually he hisses and gets pretty defensive. Also he hasn't been whipping as much either since I figured I'd use food instead of a towel to get him in his cage! ~Thanks To Everyone Who Posts~

That's about the same way that Rex warmed up to me after about six years or so. I was a little kid when I got her, and for quite a while she was pretty mean but a few years ago I got determined to start getting along with her. It was pretty much an instant thing like you described. Lot's of hissing and scratching for a few months, and then one day she decided I wasn't going to kill her and she went from occassionally eating from my hand inside my cage to sitting on my shoulders and hanging out on the couch with me
Whatever the case, keep up with the food rewards and things will probably go well
