royalcrown69 Jan 26, 2004 06:51 PM

looking at a post below about what herpers feed their herps, i thought of all the insects i see around fields. I live in chicago, so nowhere close to the clean aired country life. in your opinion do you think that it is alright to feed your leos feeder insects caught outside. i have seen those catch your own feeders being sold, and was just wondering if yawl think its safe. personally i dont think so. just wanted to know your opinions. this is opinionated so please no arguements. btw where jenni where did yah get em locusts from?

I dont think I'd feed any kind of wild-caught insects to my herps. You just don't know where they've been and what they've came in contact with. I just stick to mail-order mealies.

i dont think its good because people could be putting down pesticides and then u catch them, then u feed them to ur leo. now ur leo has the pesticides in them. so i dont think its a good idea. jmo
