well since they seem to be prone to fungal infections many people keep them at a low pH near say 6.0
But a very high one 7.8 - 8.2 would serve the same purpose. Just stay away from 6.8 - 7.5 which is ideal for many sors of fungus.
Mine are all at 6.0 - 6.2
