Over the past week my females turned black--I had my suspicions. I was planning to modify the partial barrier in their enclosure so that it was complete--I don;t want the females getting TOO stressed, especially since they're showingg their non-receptive coloration.

Well, today, I went in to feed them(Snowed/iced in from work, so I got to see their daytime behavior), and I saw the male looking at the female--DIRECTLY aat the female--in a way he just hasn't. She was black, but not gaping, so I had hope.
(Female deremensis have the nastiest non-receptive behavior/coloration. I thought veilds were the nastiest, but the female deremensis are pure black, and they shoot their tongues out at the males--it's REALLY mean)

When I came back, he was mounting her, and a minute later, they were mating.

Snapped a few pics, but they're too big for my kingsnake account. I was messing with the macro on my new camera. It holds a lot of promise, but I need to mount it on a tripod, as I can't hold it stead, adn I blurred some otherwise perfect closeup shots.

I just hope that this guy was respoonsible for them turning black---I hope the male veilds little run didn't do anything...
