I did everything wrong...

diate Jan 27, 2004 08:00 AM

but Pulcher still shed beautifully.

I have been distracted for the last week or so because my cat was just diagonosed with diabetes. I Fed Pulcher on Thurs. and after he was done, I noticed his eyes looked alittle clouded, but I wasn't really sure. Then he didn't move around at all for the next few days, actually until last night. I was worried because I had fed him a large pinkie. Last night he came out and was tooling around his enclosure and since he was due to be fed a small pinkie, he got one. He gulped it down, and I did not notice anything on his eyecaps or scales. When I came down this morning to put fresh water in his bowl, there was a beautiful shed!. It is all one piece with the eyecaps and everything. Glad to know he will be ok even if i am out of it.

What did you do wrong? You mean feed while the snake is in shed?

There's nothing wrong with feeding a snake during a shed cycle. It's just that some snakes refuse food when opaque. Obviously now you know that your snake isn't picky about it and will eat whenever.
