Probe themometer? "IN" or "OUT" temp?

nancyjo Jan 27, 2004 08:14 AM

Should I be using the "In" or "Out" switch on my radio shack probe themometer? "Out" seems to read way higher than "In"? What is the difference? Temperature is temperature, or is it?

If you are trying to get the temperature where the actual probe is sitting (under the basking spot) then you need the switch set to OUT! The "IN" switch is the temp at the actual thermometer (The actual thing that show the read out)

Hope that helps with your temp problems
