Looks like you have a Hardwicki.
Does the uro have a spot on the front of the thigh?
Make sure you cut the squash very small-they will not eat it if it is to big.
He is proabaly a year old.
I have one just like him.

If you could post a picture of the top veiw of the tail might be able to tell what sex. The native Indian people who collect them for food can tell the sex by the length and shape of the tail, I have some old writing on Hardwicki that explains.
