Simplistic setups, post em..

Breathingbywires Jan 27, 2004 03:12 PM

Mine is just basic and easy, however I'm looking for more ideas. I just find it hard to fit two hides (moist and dry) in a 20gal. long...

Post your tanks.

Mine just houses one leo.

That looks like a 10 gallon not a 20... thats why. Ill post mine in a minute on my other computer after I take a picture

Breathingbywires Jan 27, 2004 03:18 PM

20 Gal = 24" Long x 12" Wide x 14" Tall

10 Gals are 20x12x10

I have both. The 20 Gal for my Leo and a 10 Gal for my Pictus

this is the rubbermaid type boxes I have under the dresser with human heat pad. Blue box has male hypo tang and female regular the clearbox has 1.1 hypo tang and juve female albino. My money is funny but just got a call to start training for a job so maybe now I can build or buy some racks.

skitals Jan 27, 2004 06:34 PM

Walmart has great sterilite racks that are really cheap. Perfect for leos, and the racks (3 drawers each) are stackable. They are big enough to house 2 leos per drawer no problem. Ive been using them from a year without any problems as far as escapes. For heatings I use 3" heat tape taped to the bottom on one side of each drawer. If you have extra drawers its perfect to keep extra supplies... but be warned having empty drawers is just an excuse to get more leos

paradisio Jan 27, 2004 07:50 PM

Can you post a picture of this rack so I can pick up some? The one near me has quite a few. I picked up one today for like 8 bucks, like shoebox sized, for mealies

skitals Jan 27, 2004 09:45 PM

I dont think thats a good idea... general you want to keep meal worms in an open lided container (at most screen top)... not even rubbermaid top with holes. They really need an open top for air exchange and whatnot.

here is my ten gallon

aklaim Jan 27, 2004 06:06 PM

Wow, mine is really borning and plain compared to all of your tanks....time to redecorate i guess.

StinaUIUC Jan 27, 2004 10:02 PM

This is my 20L. I've moved the rock from the lower right corner to the upper left corner (in the sand) and the humid hide into the lower right corner.
