popsicle sticks bad?

Chuck420 Jan 27, 2004 07:39 PM

i was just wondering if popsicle sticks are ok to have in a snake cage? i was hoping to build an upper level and possibly a hide or 2 out of them but if it is something thats gonna affect the snake i dont wanna do it...the reason i ask is because i know there is some substrates u are not supposed to use cuz of respitory and everything so i was hoping that nothing of the sort is in popsicle sticks thanks

I don't know if they have poisons in them but I would be worried about splinters. They do splinter awful easy and you know how snakes like to rub stuff. I would be afraid of eye damage or puncture wounds, spinters.

Don't know how big your enclousre is but I used slate flool tile. It is cheap at places like Lowes and HomeDepot. Something like 50 cents to a dollar depending on size. And there are lot of sizes. Also, it holds heat well and can give that belly something warm to be on.

Good luck

nice thanks for the idea, i will have to check that out, because for the corn there is no real point in moving her into a bigger tank unless i find some way to use the height, because its the same length and width just alot deeper thanks tho ill check that out next time im near a store

ok

wood glue.....like Elmer's..........it's ok..it dries clear and is water soluble....sticks don't splinter that badly..we chew on them....corns just roll over them.......

PVC pipe.........works.........

they make fake and real rock tunnels, caves, water fountains....

cardboard baxes....disposable.......

use tree limbs.......wash them with hot water and dish soap....

make a wood box with nails........

make a plastic box out with silicone........let it dry for a week or so.....

etc etc etc.........
