Well for starters, I used to do the wong thing for about 5 years. I saw a shed comming about, and began to mist the hell out of the tank, Not good
I cant stress NO-MISTING enough the animal does not need the water on it,or arround it. Joe P. from DGS has a great theory on this one, and it works. If your humidity is good than dont mist, because the tap water upon evaporation will leave a nice crispy residue on the skin(lime calicum ect.). Over all if the animal is in a high humidity env. than dont tempt fate. Just let nature run its course.
In my predicament the damage was done, and you need to take other measures. I use a VERy VERY thin snake bag that is very rough on the inside. Then I place it into a warm water bath and sqeeze as much water out as i can with my hands. Then I spray the animal LIGHTLY with Trex-Bio Mist, and place it into the slightly wet bag. Leave it in the cage and I guarentee the skin can be pulled of easily and Watch those teeth. Oh YEA Dont Drown the snake in water it can Drown very easily in this situation
Gods speed J
