Taming a WC Saharan, and behavoir Question

UroJade Jan 27, 2004 08:16 PM

how long does it averagely take to tame a Saharan he'll eat from my hand but he doesnt like being handled he nailed me with his tail today when i was giving him a soak.

The behavoir question, im assuming this is breeding behavoir? or teratorial behavoir
its started last week when he was my juvinae beardie he started walking around and doing pushups and the same time and when i went to pick him up a bit later he did the same thing that grabbed around my wrist and bit my sleeve, during the couple days he did this for he wouldnt eat from my hand at all, he did it again today when i went to feed him

As far as taming... my "wild" w/c Saharan female is definately alot tammer (shipped here in Nov?). She's comfortable with me being close.... Before, she would take off at the firstsight of me! Eventualy.. we (her & I) will decide how "Tame" she willing to be. For now knowing she's healthy all I need. Non-stress approach works for me. The behavior your male is displaying does indeed appear territorial. I had to Block the view between a Mali & Bearded.
Hope this helps...my 2 cents
