Via Aqua Tank

NealH Jan 27, 2004 09:48 PM

I was at my local fish store and I saw these Via Aqua tanks that look like they'd be great frog tanks. It has a curved, seamless front and comes with two 18w power compacts that are mounted above the tank on these plastic mounts that sit on the sides of the tank instead of on top. It looks really cool. It also comes with an undergravel filter that could be converted into a false bottom, and a power head that could be used with a water feature. It's a bit pricey though--$119.99 for a 15H, but I guess since it comes with the lights and stuff, it's not too outrageous. Has anyone else seen these tanks or used them?

I have seen these tanks. They dont have a lid. You would have to make one and thats to much of a hassle for that amount of money. Cool for fish though

Yeah, you would have to make a lid. But you have to make a lid for any other tank too, if you want it done just right, i.e. computer fans, misting/humidifier, etc.

Thats why I would rather pay the money for a tank with the right lid than buy something that was made for fish and try to modify it. It seems that alot of the people here do that. Not to say that its wrong or bad just that I would rather pay for it than have to jerry rig stuff. my opinion.....
