Question about Randy Rhoads and where he sleeps

randyrhoads Jan 28, 2004 06:29 AM

Me and him live in my moms basement so i have a cement floor, sometimes he will sleep under his light bulb but he often likes to sleep on the cold, hard concrete floor.... is this bad?

YEs It is pretty bad...get a human heating pad and put him on it on low setting...it will keep him warm and he will probably enjoy the warmth at night instead of the cold cement floor good luck...Lyn

That is really bad for him to sleep on the cold hard concrete. I don't think he chooses to sleep there. Do you have a blanked or something to put on the floor? How cold is it in your basement? He needs to be in temps. of around 80-95 all the time with a choice to move between those temps. to regulate his own body temp. on his own. He really needs a large enclosure to be sure that his temps. are correct and his uvb lighting is having the proper effect on him. It's nice to have the room for a free roaming ig, but a cold floor and things falling on him and a deep pool of water is not what he needs. At least you are asking questions.I just hope you are taking the advice of the people on here. Iguanas are a lot of hard work and although they don't always show it, they do appreciate it. Take care of your ig.
