I hope to make something similar. Did you consider making it vertical? Also, does your spilotes settle in, or roam endlessly?

i was thinking the same thing though that is a beautiful cage and animal. my 03 generally prowls up in his branches rarely coming down on to the cage floor. his hide is secured up there and that's where he sleeps at night, coming out at first light.....shedding side note: he shed on 1/5 and again this past monday the 26th. dean, he hardly resembles the baby he was when he first arrived and expects food all the time. good luck w/ breeding them ruggero!......

My Spilotes are mostly terrestrial in their behaviour.
It may be that an animal stays motionless dayslong in its hide-box, then begins crawling for 2-3 hours... they are not so active as one could think, but they are diurnal and sleep during night...

I will let you know about eggs and babies...
