Female Gorgo passed away this past Sat.

Was strange, she was always a nice fat dragon, who loved her nightcrawlers. Then a few months ago started to act a bit weird, did not show an interest in food, seemed quite uncomfortable, even swallowed funny.

But no mouth problems seen, So I began giving her warm soaks, and keeping eye on her.
Apparently the warm soaks induced her to my surprise to lay all toll 22 eggs.
But I had posted that pic, and told you guys her color was awlfully dark and she was not eating.

She continued to go down real quick, even though I had started to feed her.
She died, and it was terribly sad to watch, I held her for a long time in a towel.
For anybody who thinks well its just a lizard(not you guys)

I must say they suffer just like us while dying,
and it stinks !!! Very Sad!

Thanks for the times I did come here and ask questions.

Froggie B you were the first one I spoke to over a year ago when I get Gorgo,
and the last one who posted before she died !
Thank you ! Take care, and good luck with all your dragons,

Eve

Eve, I am so sorry to hear you lost her. Usually only very healthy animals produce infertile eggs and 22 has got to be the largest clutch I have seen. It just must have been too much of a burden for her to produce so many eggs. I know you did your best with her and doubt you could have done anything any different. I do feel for you. I just lost a yearling yesterday that seemed to be doing well. It is hard with these guys when you have no explanation as to what went wrong. I hope we see you back some day.

a baby. Yeah it really stinks. I have alot of lizard species and frogs, so I will always be around. I breed collareds and thats kinda my home(away from home) LOL

But as far as these guys, they seem abit fragile to me. And I don't think I want to go through that with them.
Not right now anyway ! It was actually in 5 years the first lizard I lost, and was very upsetting to watch !

You guys take care and great luck with all your babies here, and all that will be hatched also See ya all later for now !

Eve
