What kind of dragon is he?

SPJ01 Jun 06, 2003 11:32 PM

I thought a basic inland dragon. Just normal. But people always think different because he doesn't look like the ones they got from the petstore (he actually is a lot prettier LOL). He went dark in the pic but he has a yellow back and a lot of orange on the sides and his legs. He seems to be getting more color as he grows. Am I right? A pretty normal. Thanks.

Well, seems to me he is a NORMAL beardie. I have one in the same, but yeah, they can become very nice bright colors, but what you look for is the designs on there back and the almost DEFEINED colors. Mines turns bright bright yellow, yet he is all the normal , and all the loves in same

What ever he is, he looks really nice. They say the sandfires don't start showing color till they are older, maybe he is that..I do know that now around here even the petstores have the differant color morphs, I know they aren't the top of the bloodline, dragons, but there are so many breeders that set up at the shows, and end up selling lot's of dragons to the vendors, and a lot are petstore owners, the dragons they sell, they are selling as sandfire, or redgold. I have a dragon, who is suppose to be a redgold, she don't look like a normal dragon because she has no pattern at all, but around her face is a little red, like she stuck her nose in strawberries..so I guess you never really know what you have unless you know the breeder. To me your dragon doesn't really look normal, it looks like he probably has more color than what you photo is showing?? What ever though he is very good looking

There are just too many types of these lizards out there. I just wish I had a name for it. I get tired of saying "it's just a normal" only to have people reply with "how come mine doesn't look like that?" or just plain "no it's not".
I will say one thing though. He is shedding now and boy did he get grumpy.
