WTF temp questions...

Tigergenesis Jan 28, 2004 10:55 AM

do they need a temp gradient - or is it okay if the temp is the same throughout the tank?

is a nighttime change/drop in temp required?

can they be kept in a rack setup?

WTF's are ectothermic, which means there body temp is close to the external enviromental temps, because all herps have a preferred body temps, they must regulate to aquire it. so in short, yes, you will require a thermal gradient. the best way to do it is by using a globe of some sort, eg: ceramic, incandescent, red/blue night bulb etc.
