I want to have a cork bark backing for my forty gallon tank and I was wondering what I want for this. The cork bark tiles or the cork bark flats. Any pictures of your setup's would be really cool so I could use them as a guide.

I used cork bark "flats". They weren't really flat, so I used an electric planer on the back of them so that they would bond to the glass better. I filled the gaps with Spanish Moss, but the SM didn't hold up very well. Next time I would use Spagnum Moss or Coconut Husk.

Here's a picture of the back.

I use cork flats....They are about half as much money as the tiles, and I donlt mind shoving moss or foam behind them for that savings.
