Ok, here it goes... I have been doing some research, and have not been able to find much about this. I understand how it all works, but what I don't understand, is do Leopard Geckos produce D3 without UVB at all? Or should it still be supplemented (either D3 or UVB) from time to time??
I am new to the forum, so maybe I should introduce myself and say a little about me..
Well, I have been keep Leopard Geckos for a little over 2 years now. I have not seen any problems with mine up to this point as far as any calcium deficiency.... I do not use UVB, but the calcium that I have been using does have D3 in it.
I currently have 18 Assorted Leopard Geckos, 2 African Fat Tail Geckos, 1 Crested Gecko, 4 White's (Dumpy) Tree Frogs, and 2 Ball Pythons.
Actually, while I am thinking about it....
Has anyone out there ever observed Leopard Geckos in the wild? If so there are some questions that I have about that. One, the type of soil and what it was like.. I have been having a debate about what it is like for them in the wild. The other, is about them eating substrate... I have a theory on that one, but I think that should be left to another post, this one is getting long enough...
Sorry for the long post...
Any and all info will be greatly appreciated!!!
Jason
