Hovabator and a gestation question

jack7777766 Jan 28, 2004 02:22 PM

Hi,

Ive heard of more than a few hovabators, and some people recommending one over the other, and I was wondering if the one being old by LLLReptile is the good one, since im planning on geting it if it is?

Also I was wondering how long the gestation period is for leos and how long it takes for a laid egg to hatch??

Thanks
Jack

With the incubators, you want the thermal air flow, not the ones that have the fans in them... The fan motors will create to much heat and you will not be able to keep them down where you need them for proper incubation.

Yes the hovabator that LLL has on sale will work fine for leos. I purchased one from them about a year ago.

The gestation period is typically 2-3 weeks. Incubation normally takes 40 days for males @ 90 degrees, and 60 days for females @ 80 degrees. Hope this helps, best of luck!
