Garter snake question

ACE950 Jan 28, 2004 02:24 PM

I am planning on keeping a few northwestern garter snakes, and would like to know what they eat or how to feed them. I heard that they eat worms and fish, but is there anything easier?
Thanks for the help.

Whats easier then worms and fish? Feeder fish come from the creek or petstore. Get a few dozen worms, stick 'em in a big bucket of dirt and feed 'em, you'll have plenty.

Worms and fish are the main part of garter snakes diet..... In the wild, worms are the main part of the northwesterns diet, but they need fish also if you are keeping them.
