Little Dragon not eating to much?

Tumtum03 Jan 28, 2004 04:21 PM

Hello out there. I just recently got back into these little guys, and I got a little 2 month old. He is 10 inches long, and looks good except for being a little thin. I just got him a week ago and he has ate everyday since I got him. But he has not eaten the past two days. I just gave him a bath today and he was drinking quite a bit, even though I spary him everyday. He also has not used the bathroom yet! He is in a 48x18x18. His basking site is at 107, middle of tank is at 85 and the cool side is 75. I mean he is very attentive, not acting sick at all. I mean when he eats he eats. I give him a variety of veggies to everyday. I have been giving gutloaded crickets of course, all the supplements and vitamins. Any advice I would appreciate!!!

Thats a big cage for a little guy. How are you measuring the temps? You might want to raise it up to 110-115. Try a warm bath for 20 minutes and maybe a light massage to get things moving.

They often don't eat as well for a week or two after a big change of environment.....I would be most concerned about the no poo thing. As Bennett said, check your temps, warm soak and soft belly massage.

I had his cage at that before and he would not even really bask like it was to hot for him. I had him in a smaller tank and he showed a lot of aggression. I check the temps digitally!

What substrate is he on now and what substrate was he on before you got him?

He has been on newspaper for me, I don't like using sand until they are older. Honestly I didn't ask, I have done business with this breeder before and never had a problem. But I wrote them tonight and I'll see what they say. I was wondering if it could be impaction? If he was on sand!
