Mine was hard as a rock after a week. I am letting it sit for 2 more weeks though to be on the safe side.

No wait until it is dry, or it might not dry at all.

Mine was dry in 7 days with my advanced drying method:

It can take some patching also, I patched mine after a day or so.

I noticed you started with a foam background. Can it also be applied directly to the glass, for patching?

kyle1745 Jan 28, 2004 05:47 PM

I have not tried it, but bet it would work.

ACE hardware had it for $32.99. It is a gallon, and they even come in 5 gallons. You can have then order you one if they do not have them in stock. I think I just lucked out. I should get a good number of tanks out of it.

did I read a while back that you dilute 1:1 with water and still get a good paste?

I actually use 1:2 weldbond:water, and then enough eco earth to make it almost lumpy. It seems to dry more like rock with it still a little runny. Not a lot, but just not clumpy. I plan to start another tank like this this weekend if I have time.
