lining crickets tub ??????????????????

pogo_the_dragon Jan 28, 2004 05:51 PM

Can I use that rubber stuff that you can line cabinet drawers with??? I have noticed that my crix have a hard time getting where they want in the rubber tub I have because it has a impression around the edge of the tub and the crix get stuck in that.....Would they try to eat this stuff even if food is always available????

I have/had (beardie recently passed) the exact same problem. I was thinking of using the same stuff.

If you scuff the sides & bottom with sandpaper they can crawl around and climb more. Only scuff part of the way up the sides so they don't crawl out.

I put oatmeal in the bottom of my tubs. Helps the crickets get around. I don't know if they would eat the drawer liner or not.
Anyway, oatmeal has worked well for me.
Take care,
Karen
