for all of you that take solid close ups...what kind of rig are you using? Any tech info (iso, f-stops, lens, film, speed, etc) would be appreciated!

I use this:
Sony F707, and hoya 1, 2, 4, close-up lenses

I use from F4-8 with whatever shutter speed works that day. I also use the internal flash for most of my shots, with it set to low.

On my site below you can see all the exif data, under the full size versions of my pics.

Hey the link below is a great site if you want to get into taking better macro shots. As far as equipment I have a Fugi s602 like the guy on the website. I took ok pictures before, but as Kyle mentioned a hoya 1, 2, 4 close up set is a must have. I also have a 10 but it has to narrow depth of field, and works better on shots of fruit flies! As for the settings that has more to do with how the shots are doing from day to day. I try to use a higher f-stop and low ISO setting, but my hands shake so much than if I don't use a tripod or brace myself I end up with a fuzzy picture 80% of the time. Have to love the digital cameras for the preview ability.

Im actually a sucker that still uses film! I currently run the canon elan7e (has mirror lock) with a 24-80mm macro/zoom and a 75-300mm macro/zoom.

I was considering a digi rebel so I could use my same lenses.
