Aaron_Luxenberg Jan 28, 2004 07:06 PM

Can someone tell me how hard it is to breed these snakes, also what are the proper requirements to keeping them i heard they are kind of like ball pythons. is this true?

Thanks Aaron

As for how hard to breed... Dave and Tracy Barker said it's pretty easy in an article they wrote a few years back. Casey Lazik told me (pers.com.) that they are pretty easy.

I've never kept Ball Pythons, so I don't know how they compare with them. I have 3 Angolans and 2 of them were super easy to acclimatise and get going. There was 1 that took a little more patience but now is totally rocking.

I was lucky enough to see all of Casey Laziks adult Angolans when picking out my Angolans. I also got to see his piebald Ball Pythons. Now I know it's all about personal taste, but I would take "any" of his Angolan pythons over "any" of his Ball Pythons, or frankly any Ball Python Anywhere...Anyday.

Angolans get bigger than ball pythons too.

I don't know if this has helped, but hey, that's my .02.
