Hey everyone,

My mali uromastyx bruno just really scared me now. He had just woken up (at 6:50 PM, weird enough as it is) and I went to see how he is doing since it has been a few days since i have seen him (he usually only comes out while I'm at school). When I went to hold him he was calm and just watched me. When my hand got closer he started to hiss at it (first time I've heard him make any sound) and then thrashed his tail threateningly. He did this three times and then went to calmly bask. Is this behavior a sign of something bad, or is he just having a bad day? He is usually very calm as is my other mali (I even have a basking spot on my desk next to my computer on which they watch me type) so this was very suprising.
Now another question,

are tomatoes ok to feed uros? I have a lot of little tomatoes (pesticide free) and it seems like something they would like, would it be ok to feed them to them?

Now here is a picture of bruno (entered this in photo contest and got no votes (the picture shows how trusting he usually is with me, not many uros would wear a cowboy hat )
