I have a KY '01 locale black rat snake that was 54" last time I measured him. He has gotten bigger and has put on alot of bulk in the last few months. I need to take an updated pic of him and post it. Im hoping he will be a "monster" of a rat snake. He was W/C, and the adults that I have seen where he was caught at are probably close to 6'.

Is that unusual for a black rat snake? I wasn't sure what their real average size is.
Anyway, I know for sure that this is an unusually large Kenyan sand boa. I want to breed her but I'm afraid I'll end up with 101 babies or something.

Is that a big snake or just a very small dog? You trying to pull a fast one?! :-p

Well the biggest black rat snake recorded was 101"!! Thats a big rat snake!! They average probably around 5-6', and thats fairly good sized. Most farmers know how beneficial these snakes are and will leave them alone as long as they dont start taking baby chickens or other fowl. The biggest one I think Ive seen out in the wild was close to 6 or 6.5'. Jet black from southeastern MO and climbing up the side of a shag bark hickory tree.

That sand boa you have is a pretty hefty snake! I bet it takes large mice with no problems huh?
Nice looking snake.

No way!! Never let a blacksnake near your farm. They'll steal all your milk. I saw it happen when I was 14 months old.

Okay, how big is the tub. I think I have seen a pict of this kenyan before but this time it doesn't look as big. That depends on if that dog is an Italian Greyhound, a Whippet or a Greyhound though.
