Looks like a Stenodactylus petrii.

How big is it? If its an adult at 3" max, than petrii. If larger, than Doriae (probably spelled that wrong)

It is an undescribed species (possibly subspecies) that is sometimes labeled as Stenodactylus petrii or S. khobarensis (because of superficial similarities). It is truly undescribed. It may eventually be placed into the petrii complex, but for now it is just Stenodactylus sp. Cool geckos. They do like a bit more humidity compared to other Stenodactylus. They are from Southeastern Egypt and parts of Northeastern Sudan. Get some calcium carbonate "sand" (because it holds its form after it is moistened then dried) and get it pretty moist by tilling and it while you mist it. They will dig tunnels all throughout the enclosure and when the calci-carb dries the tunnnels will be left there. They are like the meerkat of geckos; watching guarding, and retreating. You get the idea. Oh yeah! their tail does not get much fatter than that.

Do you mean for a prticular sp.? Or all stenodactylus?

Mine seem to have much fatter tails.

he hasnt been eating latley i think becuase of the cold but its warmer now and i cant get him to eat the most he'll do is look at the crickets and stalk it a bit but if it moves out of his sight he forgets about it

Its metabolism is probably very slow at this point. Do not fry him, but gradually raise the temperature to 85 F days and 78 F nights. The days should be good at about 12 hours (so 12 hour nights also). Remove all uneaten crickets so they do not crawl on him and stress him out. Nasr 36, your gecko is the nominate (main) form of Stenodactylus petrii. Their tails vary.

Nasr36`s gecko is Stenodactylus sthenodactylus and the other one looks like a usual S. petrii to me. They are often mixed up and are being misslabeld most of the time-even in books.
