My Kayuadi yearling male

viandy Jan 28, 2004 09:43 PM

These are the only dwarf retics I have experience with, but they really seem to stay small. I got him on March 18 2003, he weighed 60gm, now weighs 378gm. Has a great appetite, eats small rats weekly. I always expect to hear more about them, but it seems the super dwarfs and jampeas get alot more attention.

This female is also from the first clutch that Dr.Murdoch had. She arrived at 68gm, now weighs 372. Like the male, a good eater, usually even eats when blue.

This female is from the second clutch that Winslow had. Same father, different mother. She was a bit younger than the other
two when I got her, is 308 gm now. I'm really tempted by the other dwarfs I see, but am really happy with these. I like to keep them "pure", but the thought of adding a dwarf tiger female is very tempting. But for who, the Kayuadi or my Bali yellowhead male? Or would seven retics be too many? I know my girlfriend has a very strong opinion about that!

Glad to see my babies are growing up so nicely. I just sold my last three animals from that first clutch, and have about fifteen- twenty eggs in the incubator from the same parents as the first two that you posted pics from.

Keep me informed as to how they are growing. I am thrilled you are enjoying them, i certainly have.

Nice looking snakes. I have been looking at dwarf Tigers, and saw what is said to be a dwarf retic, is this the same as a so called dwarf retic or are they different. I think it was on constriters unlimited, that I saw it price diff from 750 and the dwarf retic was 400 (would the 400 dollar one be a normal dwarf). Said it was breed to the same a tiger and a dwarf. I am so confused with these dwarfs.
And as far as the girl friend goes, I have the same issues, I only have three snakes and want a fourth but she says no, funny thing cause she lives with me. Go figure.
