i was just looking at some pictures of adult blizzards... do all adult bliz's get dark in color, or is that a sign of something that went wrong when they were young..?

All blizzards change there color slightly. I have a group of 1.2 and the females i have together and there colors vary from dfay to day. Some of it has to do with temperaturs at the current time and i think some has to do with stress.I think most if not all leos change color slightly when aggitated, or reacy to mate, or temps etc..
