food and heat question

hi i just got my first king and its a california king. my temps during the day are 83 and when i get shut eye it drops down to 73 is that ok or not im really not sure. also its only a couple weeks old its verry small and i fed it a small pinky today but it wont stop hunting. its not trying to get out or rubbing against glass but it wont stop could it possibly still be hungry. thanks for any replies.

I am a sand boa guy looking at getting a kingsnake. From what I have read the low 70's for night time drops are ok.

Even though you have feed you new king and he is acting like he is hunting and still hungry I would not feed him again until 4 to 7 days later. I know that a lot of folks would disagree with me but I do not be live in power feeding to get quick growth. It just cant possible be healthy. It has been shown that animals with a calorie restricted diet live longer.
