Hatchling russian tort, or save that bit of money for marriage? I mean I could always have a smaller reception

Go with the hatchling tort. Why waste money on a bunch of
overweight ingrate guests? Serve cheese and crackers and
play the music loud, they'll have fun, and you'll have
a sweet dolly tortoise forever.

Ya know, I was thinking along the same lines.
What exactly will change with marriage besides getting a tax penalty and spending lots of money on two rings and having a party?

I've already committed myself to her, the rest is just unneccessary paperwork as far as I'm concerned
