help with what kind of monitor

tegu21 Jan 29, 2004 11:12 AM

Hi I am just asking everyone to let me know whats the best kind of monitor that I can have in a 6ft long by 2 ft deep by 4 ft high by 3 ft high what kind would be best for that size cage the water is seperate its on the outside of the cage so that size cage is the ground size plus the 60 gallon water tub for swimming. I will like to have either a tree monitor or any aboreal monitors that I can pair up. I am an expierenced monitor keeper, just not an expierenced breeder yet

id go with some dumerils the measurements seem ok for them, they are mid range varanids that will use the water and will use the height. Melinus would seem ok as well, if you like arboreals some black trees would seem ok. If you have the money some blue trees are being sold as a pair. all the monitors mentioned are in the classiefieds being sold as pairs.

hope this helps
