Question, Please Help, Do you Know this Frog Name? ?Mika?

teallotus Jan 29, 2004 11:41 AM

I was at a Vivarium in Frankfurt, and saw a frog... but now I can't find it on-line!

I'm almost certain it was called a Mika frog, but I've tried that, Mikha, Mikla, and a few other variations... Does anyone know what this little guy is really called!?? Thanks!

Hi,

What did it look like?

Good question. Not much of a frog person. I'm just getting interested in a frog as a pet.

Arboreal, I beleive... a type of tree frog. Kind of sat around on the branches like a gargoyle, with a large bulldog type frown. Mostly green, maybe a little tan-brown. The eyes were greenish-textured.

Hhhmm.... anyway, it was Maki. The family is Phyllomedusa, and is also called a Monkey Tree Frog.

Thanks, though...
